Westside Regional Center welcomes the Center for Health Care Rights as their guest speakers for this informative presentation. Information will be presented on the Medicare program, benefits, co-payments and deductibles. The recent changes to Medicare and Part D will also be discussed. Many WRC consumers are dual-eligible for both Medicare and Medi-Cal. These individuals may be enrolled in the no-cost Medicare Part D drug plan, and may be receiving letters from several of the plans that are discontinuing their no-cost plans or raising their premiums. While some plans are automatically changing enrollees to a lower cost plan so that they do not incur any monthly premiums, other plans may be requiring that consumers make a change. If you are familiar with these notices and are confused by them, please come to this presentation or call WRC for more information. You may also bring your notice(s) to this presentation for assistance.  The Center for Health Care Rights (CHCR) is a non-profit organization that provides free information and help with Medicare. Please remember to RSVP so that we have handouts for you. There is no cost for this presentation.
